CLEVELAND (WJW) – Doctors at Cleveland Clinic are sounding the alarm about a spike in measles cases, urging the public to stay vigilant — especially those planning to travel.
“Believe it or not, it’s actually several outbreaks. They’ve recorded about 27 outbreaks this year alone,” said Dr. Frank Esper with Cleveland Clinic Children’s.
The concern isn’t just the number of cases, but how easily measles spreads. Measles is up to five times more contagious than COVID-19 and its impact is already being felt nationwide.
