Euclid Beach murder suspect faces judge

EUCLID (WJW) — The man accused of murder at Euclid Beach Park is being held on $1 million bond.

Swimmers warned to stay out of Lake Erie on Thursday

Christopher W. Manning, 25, appeared in court Friday morning in connection to the shooting death of Jarvis Perryman, 20, at Euclid Beach. He faces charges of murder and attempted murder.

Early July 3, police say Manning was part of a large group that gathered long after the park closed. Authorities believe an argument touched off the shooting.

More than 130 people sickened on Royal Caribbean cruise

Detectives were able to identify the suspect after combing through hours of security video near the scene.

As a result of the shooting, the Cleveland Metroparks plans to install more security cameras and license plate readers to help crack down on illegal after-hours gatherings in the parks…
