CLEVELAND (WJW) – Firefighters rescued a worker, believed to be cleaning windows, after his equipment failed nearly a dozen stories above downtown Cleveland on Friday afternoon.
According to the Cleveland Division of Fire, the worker’s equipment failed while he was suspended between the 11th and 12th floor of Key Tower in Public Square.
Firefighters quickly responded and helped the man into the building.
“Only a few days ago, our Technical Rescue Squads sharpened their Rope Rescue skills through a training exercise,” Cleveland Fire wrote on X. “This afternoon, those skills were put to the test.”…
