Lorain police receiving threats, harassment calls after deadly ambush: I-Team

LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) – The Lorain County sheriff confirmed to the FOX 8 I-Team that detectives are investigating harassing phone calls and threatening messages aimed at police following last week’s gunfire that left an officer dead, two officers hurt and a suspect dead.

Just hours after the shootings, one man called 911 again and again asking questions and taunting.

“I could also show up to your front door,” the man told the dispatcher. “I don’t carry a gun. I’m not a — like you.”

One dispatcher told the man, if he calls again, he could face charges for “abuse” of an emergency line.Another person commented on a news story about the shootings by writing a direct threat that more officers could be shot…
