WESTLAKE, Ohio – Officers responding to a single-vehicle crash at 12:30 p.m. on July 28 arrested the car’s driver after finding white rocks of suspected cocaine in a small plastic bag at the scene.
The driver, whose car had crashed into a utility pole on Detroit Road east of Crocker Road, told officers that the rocks were cocaine, according to a police department statement.
The 19-year-old Westlake man said that suspension work was recently completed on the car, and something must have gone wrong mechanically, causing him to lose control.
