CLEVELAND (WJW) – Downtown Cleveland is gearing up to welcome thousands of journalists, media professionals and students for the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Convention, kicking off this Wednesday at the Huntington Convention Center.
This year marks a major milestone—NABJ’s 50th anniversary—and for the first time in its history, the annual event is being held in Northeast Ohio.
“Black journalists still make up less than 10% of U.S. newsrooms,” said Rhonda Crowder, president of the Greater Cleveland Association of Black Journalists.
