Cleveland Heights man robs woman with gun as she attempts to buy his used car

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — A woman was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to buy a used car from a Cleveland Heights man. Fortunately for police, the man used his real name when advertising the car on Facebook Marketplace.

The Akrom woman, 37, reported the crime at 3:35 p.m. Aug. 3. She told police that she took an Uber from Akron to a store in Cleveland or Euclid, where she used an ATM to withdraw the $900 she agreed to pay for the 2005 Nissan Altima. The seller agreed to meet her at the store…
