CLEVELAND — MetroHealth announced Wednesday that starting in September it would centralize its trauma services to its Main Campus Level I Adult Trauma Center on Cleveland’s Near West Side.

- According to the release, the decision to consolidate trauma services was data driven and, “grounded in what is best for its patients, the System’s EMS partners and MetroHealth’s long-term ability to provide lifesaving trauma care…”
This includes its Level III trauma services at Parma Medical Center on Snow Road, which will be transitioned to the main campus five miles away, starting on Sept. 2.
