Cleveland Heights aggravated robbery suspect plans crime a little too close to home

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — A young suspect who allegedly used a gun to rob a man, made the mistake of committing that crime too close to home.

At 7:55 p.m. Aug. 8, police were dispatched on a report of a man being robbed at gunpoint on Washington Boulevard.

The man told police he was contacted via offerup.com that someone wanted to buy his silver Cartier watch, and that the buyer wanted to meet him at a Washington Boulevard address. The man arrived in his car and saw a young male wearing a black jacket with no shirt underneath, emerge from a residential property. The man assumed this was the supposed buyer and approached him…
