The pastor of an Elyria church said he is frustrated because a city garbage truck dumped trash and “sludge” in the church parking lot, and later caused damage to the asphalt while using the parking lot to turn around.
The Rev. Jared Harper of Abundant Life Christian Center on Morgan Avenue said he has complained to multiple city officials about the issues, and was bothered by what he called a lack of responsiveness.
“The lack of a timely response to, I think, legitimate issues is frustrating,” he said. “I understand things happen and people make mistakes, but not getting it corrected in a timely fashion is so frustrating. I feel like if I don’t escalate things, if I don’t file a formal complaint, they’re not going to do anything.”…
