Boy arrested after punching, slapping & choking his girlfriend in moving car in Berea

BEREA, Ohio – An Oberlin boy, 17, was arrested Aug. 14 after he punched, slapped and choked his live-in girlfriend in a moving car.

The boy and woman were part of a four-person DoorDash team delivering food at about 2 a.m. to various homes. Police on patrol southbound on Barrett Road were traveling behind the car. By that time, the boy was no longer in the vehicle.

Police became concerned when the car suddenly went into reverse toward their cruiser. The car turned right onto West Bagley and police followed as the vehicle parked outside Nam Wah Chinese & Vietnamese Cuisine, 392 West Bagley Road…
