‘I can’t sleep at night’: Family heartbroken after local mom killed in crash; suspect arraigned

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Newly released video from city of Cleveland traffic cameras shows the high-speed collision that happened early Sunday, when a car being pursued by Cuyahoga County sheriff’s deputies slammed into a vehicle stopped at a red light.

Sharday Elder, a 37-year-old innocent mother of two, was killed in the crash.

The victim’s family received the heartbreaking news on Sunday that their loved one was killed when her car was struck by the fleeing suspect’s vehicle at Superior Avenue and Addison Avenue.

“I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I want my sister back,” the victim’s sister, Cearria Elder, wept as she told FOX 8.

The crash that took Sharday’s life as she sat defenseless at a red light also caused serious injuries to her 33-year-old passenger and two passengers in the car that was being pursued, an 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl…
