Man charged in Cleveland hit-and-run that left dirt bike rider dead

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A man was arrested following a fatal hit-and-run in a Cleveland intersection on Labor Day, according to court documents obtained by the FOX 8 I-Team.

The man, identified as 21-year-old Andre C. Diggs, was reportedly driving a Ford Explorer at a high rate of speed down St. Clair Avenue, when he went through a red light hitting a Yamaha dirt bike, according to a police report filed with Cleveland Municipal Court.

The rider of the bike was attempting to take a left onto St. Clair from Nottingham Road when the collision took place, police learned in an investigation. The rider was thrown from his bike and it came to rest in a parking lot where it burst into flames…
