CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter came dangerously close to breaking its “no kill” promise last week, prompting a desperate plea for help. Community members came to the rescue.
The shelter reported Wednesday that 18 dogs were adopted and another 21 dogs left to foster homes. Some of the foster agreements are just short staycations meant to provide the shelter with some breathing room over the holiday weekend, the shelter noted in an email, but others are on track for future adoptions.
