Cleveland child rapist’s case highlights little-known Ohio prison trend

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Billy Flynn will never leave prison.

Last week, the 67-year-old convicted child rapist became part of a growing trend in Ohio’s prisons: inmates sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Lauren Moore handed Flynn the punishment Thursday after finding him guilty of three counts of rape and nine counts of gross sexual imposition in a bench trial. She also convicted him of sexually violent predator enhancements and classified him as a sex offender…
