Nearly 1 week later, Flats workers and visitors reflect on safety after mass shooting

CLEVELAND — Nearly a week after a shooting in the Flats East Bank injured six people, Cleveland police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect.

The gunfire broke out outside Play Bar & Grill on Sept. 7. Investigators say they recovered more than 40 shell casings from multiple weapons. Police have released photos of a person they believe is connected to the case.

Despite the violence, some people who work and visit the Flats say they still feel the area can be safe…
