2 men sentenced for roles in shootout with Cleveland police officers last year in Brooklyn Centre

CLEVELAND — Two Cleveland men have been sentenced for their roles in a shootout with police officers last year in the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley announced Monday.

Forty-year-old Ray Agosto will spend 18-22 1/2 years in prison, while 26-year-old Dakota Greene will spend 28-32 years behind bars. The pair were sentenced not just for shooing at police, but also for various other unrelated crimes in the area.

Agosto and Greene each accepted plea deals that saw them admit to charges of felonious assault on a peace officer and numerous other offenses, with more serious charges of attempted murder being dropped. In addition, 33-year-old co-defendant Wayne Agosto pleaded guilty to felonious assault last month and was sentenced to between 25 and 30 1/2 years in prison for both the shootout and the other crimes…
