Residents voice concerns about Rocky River’s proposed ban on sleeping on public property

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — During Monday’s City Council meeting, two residents expressed their concerns about proposed city ordinances that would prohibit camping and sleeping in public areas and parks.

Mayor Pamela Bobst said the city is trying to help the unhoused rather than punish them.

She hopes to meet with a local nonprofit organization dealing with homelessness issues before council’s next meeting, to receive their input on the legislation and possible solutions…
