Elyria man serving life in federal prison gets 30 more years for killing cellmate

A former Elyria man already serving a life sentence in federal prison for running a human trafficking ring has been sentenced to another 30 additional years in prison for murdering his cellmate in 2021.

Jeremy Mack, 50, was sentenced Aug. 28 to 30 years and 5 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to murder in the second degree in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, according to federal prosecutors.

U.S. District Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson also ordered Mack to pay $3,000 in restitution, according to court records and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana…
