More charges for Elyria man captured after 5 months on the run charged in Lorain murder

LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) – The Elyria man who recently spent five months in hiding after escaping police is now facing 10 more charges, including aggravated robbery and kidnapping.

Back in August, Donte Jamar Parker II was charged with murder, assault, and burglary in connection with the deadly shooting of Leonard McCall Jr.

McCall was shot and killed on Nov. 25, 2024 in the area of West 14th Street and Lexington Avenue.

On Sept. 25, Parker was indicted on the following charges:

  • Aggravated robbery (F1)
  • Kidnapping (F1)
  • Strangulation (F3)
  • Abduction (F3)
  • Telecommunications fraud (F5)
  • Misdemeanor theft (M10
  • Assault (M1)
  • Aggravated menacing (M1)
  • Strangulating (F3)
  • Abduction (F3)
