CLEVELAND, Ohio – A suspect accused of cooperating with others in the kidnapping, torturing and killing of a woman in East Cleveland pleaded guilty Tuesday in the middle of a jury trial.
Brittany Smith, 36, of Cleveland admitted to aggravated murder and conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the Nov. 4, 2021, death of Alisha Pointer, according to Cuyahoga County prosecutors.
