9- and 10-year-old charged with attempted murder, rape in Cleveland

CLEVELAND (WJW) – The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office announced charges against two juveniles following an assault on a 5-year-old.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the incident happened in a field near East 148th Street and St. Clair Avenue in Cleveland last month.

A 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy are facing charges, the prosecutor announced.

Both face the following charges:

  • One count of attempted murder
  • Four counts of rape
  • Two counts of felony assault
  • One count of kidnapping
  • One count of strangulation

None of those involved are being identified due to their ages and the graphic nature of the case…
