CLEVELAND (WJW) — LeBron James — Akron native, famed Swensons connoisseur and, of course, a Cavaliers legend — would be proud. The Northeast Ohio drive-in burger chain he grew up with is coming to Rocket Arena starting this fall.

“Swensons is one of Northeast Ohio’s most beloved food brands, and we know just how much the community, our fans and our team love their food,” Allison Howard, the Cavs’ Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, said in a statement. “This partnership is a testament to our shared dedication to community and local legacy — both on and off the court.”
Swensons, which started in Akron in 1934, is going to be served up at two in-arena stands — a big change for those used to rolling up in their car to feast upon Galley Boy burgers and potato teezers.
Expanded to 24 locations over the years, including at Lower.com Field where the Columbus Crew play, the Rocket Arena locale is the first Swensons outpost in downtown Cleveland.
