Overnight fire causes around $500K in damage at Annie B & Earl’s Pancake House in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Cleveland firefighters responded overnight Sunday to a fire at a popular breakfast spot that caused around $500,000 in damage, a fire department spokesperson confirmed to 3News.

The spokesperson said firefighters arrived at on St. Clair Avenue near East 40th Street at around 1 a.m. Sunday for a fire at a 2 1/2-story residential and restaurant building. The building houses Annie B. & Earl’s Pancake House, a longtime staple in Cleveland’s St. Clair-Superior neighborhood.
