CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The second-longest government shutdown is nearing a dangerous deadline as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are set to run out on Saturday.

Nearly 1.5 million civilian federal workers have been furloughed or been forced to work without pay after missing their first full paycheck amid the shutdown.

While some federal workers have been without pay, about 1.4 million Ohioans may soon be without their SNAP benefits…
