CLEVELAND — Half of a three-bedroom ranch modular home was lifted by a crane and set on its foundation on West 30th Street in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. And it’s changing the landscape of homeownership, thanks to a partnership between the City of Cleveland and Habitat for Humanity.
“There’s a housing need in Cleveland, certainly for homeownership,” said John Litten, the president and CEO of Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity. “Habitat for Humanity has wanted to answer that call, and a way for us to augment our production without adding to our headcount or having to find more volunteers was to do more modular homes.”
