Slain officer’s parents say accused killer trying to ‘run out the clock’ to avoid trial

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — The parents of Jamieson Ritter, a Webster native killed while working as a police officer in Cleveland, say their son’s killer is trying to “run out the clock.”

Ritter, 27, was gunned down in the line duty July 4, 2024. The suspect, Delawnte Hardy, was charged with three counts of aggravated murder.
