CLEVELAND — A downtown Cleveland nightclub with a troubled history of violent episodes has permanently closed its doors, city officials confirmed Monday.
The decision to shut down Medusa Restaurant & Lounge comes roughly a week after 23-year-old Monte Baker was shot and killed inside the establishment. A city spokesperson tells 3News that Cleveland officials subsequently “met with the property owner and expressed our concerns about crime” before Medusa eventually closed for good.
