Cleveland firefighters rescue two people from West Side housefire in frigid conditions

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland firefighters rescued two people from a burning home Monday morning on the city’s West Side, battling flames in 18-degree temperatures.

Fire crews responded just before 11 a.m. to the 3200 block of Monroe Avenue, near West 32nd Street. Firefighters safely pulled two people from inside the home, according to Lt. Mike Norman, spokesman for the Cleveland Division of Fire.
