CLEVELAND (WJW) – In what a Cleveland Clinic doctor calls “a snowball starting to roll down a hill,” the clinic is reporting a steady increase in cases of the flu, and the impact of the illness can be quite unpleasant.
“Body aches, high fevers, you know, some respiratory symptoms, joint pains, really severe fatigue, you name it. In a flu-like illness, there will be various spectrums or severity of that. Also, diarrhea seems to be a little more common in the children’s version of the flu this year so far,” said Dr. Joseph Khabbaza, who is a pulmonary and critical care physician.
According to Khabbaza, the 2024-25 flu season was the most severe in the past 15 years, and so far this season, there are a couple of viruses that have reared their ugly heads…
