FAIRLAWN, Ohio (WOIO) – The Summit County Sheriff’s Office increased security at the Summit Mall on Friday afternoon.
According to a news release, the sheriff’s office and the Fairlawn Police Department will be providing extra security at the mall “to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, tenants, and employees.”
Shoppers at the mall who spoke with 19 News were pleased to see more patrols, including one Akron woman who didn’t want to provide her name: “I just feel like whatever they need to do to stay open so that the stores can stay open.”…
