CLEVELAND, Ohio — A powerful storm system is set to intensify into a bomb cyclone as it tracks across the Midwest toward the Great Lakes this weekend, bringing high winds, heavy precipitation and hazardous travel conditions through Monday, according to WTOL 11.
The system is expected to build Sunday afternoon and evening as it moves over the region. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a bomb cyclone occurs when a storm’s central pressure drops by at least 24 millibars within a 24-hour period.
