Judge hands down life sentences in ‘horrific’ East Cleveland murder

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Before she was murdered on her birthday in an abandoned East Cleveland home in 2021, Alishah Pointer didn’t plead for her life. Instead, she begged her captors not to harm her twin sister.

More than four years later, three of the six people who conspired to kidnap, torture and kill Pointer have been sentenced to prison.
