CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Orchestra has announced plans to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with two free events this month.
The orchestra’s 46th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Concert will take place at Mandel Concert Hall in Severance Music Center on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. Assistant Conductor Taichi Fukumura will take the podium with guest performances from Grammy-winning soprano Latonia Moore and the all-volunteer Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Chorus, led by Dr. William Henry Caldwell.
The Jan. 11 concert is free to attend, but tickets are required. They have been available on a first-come, first-served basis through the Severance Ticket Office since last Saturday. The ticket office is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and in the three hours before concerts through intermission. It is closed on Sundays…
