Cleveland man sentenced for robbing armored vehicle employees at ATMs

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Federal authorities announced Thursday a Cleveland man will spend 19 years in prison for robbing armored vehicles.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) said Christion Yarnell Sims, 24, and others targeted two armored truck employees at ATMs in July and September 2024.

Federal authorities said the victims were threatened at gunpoint.
