Northeast Ohio snow totals: Cleveland sets record for date; 19 inches falls in Geauga County

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The winter storm that moved through Northeast Ohio dropped temperatures and dumped plenty of snow, with a record amount recorded for the date in Cleveland.

The National Weather Service says 7.2 inches fell at Hopkins International Airport on Thursday. It smashed the previous record for Jan. 15 of 4.2 inches, set in 2004.
