VIDEO: 3 teens plead guilty after robbing victim at gunpoint, fleeing from police

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio (WJW) — Three teens have now been convicted after officials said they robbed a person at gunpoint and eventually led police on a chase through parts of Northeast Ohio this summer.

Willoughby police were initially called to the Willo Park Apartments on Euclid Avenue around 9 pm. on July 29. Upon arrival they learned a victim had been robbed and that suspects had taken off in a car.

The suspects’ vehicle information was circulated to neighboring departments and officers with the Bedford Police Department found it and attempted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle did not pull over and a pursuit ensued through neighborhoods, ending when police rammed into the suspect’s vehicle.

Four people inside the car reportedly attempted to run at that point, and police were able to arrest two on scene.

A third arrest came later when investigators issued a search warrant at a residence on Morning Star Avenue in Maple Heights. Willoughby police said they found a suspect attempting to leave, but he was taken into custody. Upon searching the property, multiple guns were found, according to police…
