Level 1 Snow Emergency issued in Cuyahoga County as winter storm intensifies

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Sheriff Harold Pretel has issued a Level 1 Snow Emergency for Cuyahoga County due to heavy snowfall and hazardous driving conditions, according to a news release. Officials are urging motorists to drive cautiously and avoid unnecessary travel.

The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory and a Winter Storm Warning through Monday, Jan. 26. A major winter storm is currently impacting a large portion of the country, with a high probability of heavy snow and prolonged cold temperatures extending through next week.
