Listen up, Cleveland leaders: Be forthright about what residents can expect for residential street plowing — and do better.

We can all acknowledge how Old Man Winter has been up to his beard in squalls. Even when my weather app tells me it will be ending in the next hour, all I see is continuous snow globe activity out my window. Any snow-clearing accomplished by those willing and able disappears with the next assault of frozen precipitation.

One morning after a recent Arctic smackdown, not one street in our 10-block neighborhood had been plowed. Trucks and other snow-conquering vehicles made it out to the main connector, but left behind deep troughs the rest of us had to fight through. Cars bogged. Wheels spun without traction. Corners were tricky and stop signs were trickier…
