CLEVELAND, Ohio — A dangerous surge of arctic air pushed across Northeast Ohio early Saturday, prompting the National Weather Service in Cleveland to keep a Cold Weather Advisory in effect through the early afternoon as wind chills are expected to fall between 10 and 20 degrees below zero.
Forecasters said the advisory covers Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Medina and Summit counties. The combination of low temperatures and gusty winds will make it feel significantly colder than the thermometer reading, increasing the risk of frostbite for anyone outdoors without proper protection.
