BEACHWOOD, Ohio — City Council heard on Monday (Feb. 2) from Sheetz Inc., which is seeking city approval of a rezoning so it can build a gas station/convenience store/restaurant at 24700 Chagrin Blvd., the current site of an office buiklding that was home to a US Bank branch.
Former Beachwood law director Diane Calta is representing Sheetz and began the presentation by stating the company’s desire to rezone the 1.8-acre property at the southeast corner of Chagrin Boulevard and Commerce Park Road from general office use, to motor service use.
The rezoning is necessary only to allow fuel pumps at the site, as the convenience store and restaurant uses fall under the current zoning. Sheetz wishes to install four rows that total 16 pumps…
