Cleveland doesn’t need another money-losing concert venue, especially on the lakefront

A proposed 10,000-seat concert venue on Cleveland’s lakefront is facing harsh criticism from local music industry experts and Today in Ohio podcast hosts, who argue the plan represents shortsighted thinking about valuable waterfront property and ignores the economic realities of the local concert business.

“This was a dumb idea… Very few music venues are in the black. They’re all losing money. We don’t need it,” said Chris Quinn on Monday’s podcast episode.
