LOOK! Crews rescue deer that fell through frozen pond

BEDFORD, Ohio (WJW) — No ice is safe ice, even for animals.

Saturday morning crews with the Bedford Fire Department helped rescue a deer that fell through a frozen pond.

The fire department shared pictures of the rescue on Facebook and detailed how their crews, along along with members of the Eastside Technical Rescue Team, helped bring the animal to safety.

According to Bedford Fire’s post, a civilian had attempted to use a personal boat to rescue the “scared” deer. The animal reportedly made it close to the shoreline before it walked back to the middle of the pond a second time…
