Frozen meatballs recalled nationwide

(WJW) – Frozen meatballs sold at Aldi stores nationwide are being recalled over concerns that they could be contaminated with fragments of metal, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

According to the recall alert, Rosina Food Products, Inc., based in West Seneca, N.Y., is recalling nearly 10,000 pounds of its fully cooked and ready-to-eat frozen meatballs.

The meatballs were produced on July 30, 2025 and have a 15-month shelf-life. FSIS said officials are concerned the recalled products may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.

Here’s what to check for:

  • 32-oz. printed poly film bag packages of fully cooked frozen “Bremer FAMILY SIZE ITALIAN STYLE MEATBALLS” containing “about 64 meatballs per package” with “BEST BY” date of “10/30/26” with timestamps between 17:08 through 18:20 printed on the back of the label.

According to FSIS, so far, no injuries have been reported…
