CANTON, Ohio — There is no debate: Greater Cleveland’s east side owns Ohio high school swimming.
University School’s boys team and Hathaway Brown’s girls squad continued their sustained dominance by winning their respective Division II state titles this weekend at the OHSAA swimming and diving championships in Canton. It’s the fifth consecutive team title for the Preppers and the fourth straight for the Blazers.
University had to scratch and claw a bit for its first-place trophy, but wound up besting second-place Ontario 216-204.
