OHIO — More than 300,000 customers remain without power across the state of Ohio, following high winds that blasted the state Friday, according to utility companies. Winds in excess of 70 mph were reported in many areas, with one report of a gust reaching 85 mph in Cleveland.
Poweroutage.us, which monitors power outages, showed more than 500,000 customers without power at one point Friday evening. As of 11 a.m. Saturday, that number had dropped to about 305,000.
