Aliyah Henderson indicted for aggravated murder after daughters’ bodies found in suitcases in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — A Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted Aliyah Henderson on several charges, including aggravated murder, after the bodies of her two young daughters were found in suitcases in Cleveland earlier this month.

According to a release from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, Henderson was indicted on the following charges:

  • Six counts of aggravated murder
  • Four counts of murder
  • Six counts of kidnapping
  • Four counts of felonious assault
  • Three counts of child endangering
  • One count of tampering with evidence
  • Two counts of gross abuse of a corpse

Henderson is being held on a $2 million bond, which was set during a brief hearing in Cleveland Municipal Court. She will be arraigned on the charges in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court at a later date.

The two victims were identified as half-siblings:

  • 10-year-old Amor Wilson
  • 8-year-old Mila Chatman

“This tragic case has shocked not just our community but the world. We will vigorously advocate for our victims, Amor and Mila, and our thoughts are with all who loved them. We will hold this heartless monster to account for the torturous homicide of her children,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said in a statement.
