EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A landlord charged with 50 misdemeanors over unlivable conditions at a local apartment complex appeared in court as he works to fix up the units for residents.
Gualter Amarelo Jr. has been a co-owner at 1885 Taylor Road property in East Cleveland since August. According to residents, the property had no heat in units all winter and no water at times.
Some residents say they haven’t had heat for years…
