ICE officers deployed to Cleveland Hopkins airport to support TSA amid shutdown staffing shortages

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrived at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport this morning to help with security operations, according to the airport.

“These personnel are supporting TSA operations in a non-screening role, including assisting with passenger flow and divesting,” according to an airport statement. “They are not conducting identification checks or screening passengers.”
