COWEN, W.Va. (WKRC) – Several individuals were charged, including an Ohioan, after a woman was reportedly dragged out of her apartment and attacked by a group.
According to WBOY, the following individuals were taken into custody after a woman was attacked at her apartment on Erbacon Road in Cowen, West Virginia, on March 21:
- 22-year-old Damion Holbert (of Cowen, West Virginia)
- 22-year-old Madison Cochran (of Cowen, West Virginia)
- 20-year-old Anita Torres (of Lakewood, Ohio)
While authorities were responding to the residence, they were informed that the victim had been “drug out of her apartment” by four people, and upon arriving at the scene, reportedly noticed Holbert leaving the area.
The suspect was detained, and while he was sitting inside a patrol cruiser, authorities said he “began screaming and kicking” at a door panel and was then placed in additional restraints. Law enforcement noticed two women, later identified as Cochran and Torres, “in a physical altercation with the victim,” with documents reviewed by WBOY stating that the suspects “bashed the victim’s head off of the neighbor’s metal door.”…
